NASA Voyager Recordings - Symphonies of the Planets
What we have here is really cool. As the Voyager space probes passed by planets, they picked up each planets electromagnetic "signature". Although we cannot audibly hear such a thing in its raw state through the vacuum of space, NASA has instruments that translate them to sounds we can perceive. The great emptiness of space and all its holy bodies, available for your listening pleasure. Each part is about 30 minutes long. Enjoy.

Balmorhea: All is Wild, All is Silent
Well it's been a late night so I thought I would go ahead and put up another post. I just downloaded Balmorhea's album, All is Wild, All is Silent, and let me just say it is one of the most passionate and emotional instrumental albums of 2009. Of course that's just me. Each song is powerful and moving with instruments such as: the violin, cello, banjo, and the acoustic guitar. Song after song, it just keeps on building and there is never a dull moment on this album. Balmorhea has always impressed me, therefore I'm stupid for not getting this album sooner. Enjoy the listen if you choose to listen that is.
